Md Fahim Sikder Defends Dissertation on Fair Synthetic Data

Md Fahim Sikder has successfully defended his doctoral dissertation Representative Synthetic Data for Fair Decision Making at Linköping University.

The dissertation develops generative models and fair representation learning techniques that address intersectional bias in AI decision-making systems. The work spans fairness-aware synthetic health data generation, diffusion-based time series synthesis, and knowledge distillation approaches for producing fair synthetic datasets.
