Charlotte Högberg has successfully defended her doctoral dissertation Making Sense of Medical AI: AI Transparency and the Configuration of Expertise at Lund University (LTH).
The dissertation examines how different actors — AI developers, breast radiologists, and standardizers — make sense of AI in medical development, clinical application, and standardization. It explores how these sensemaking practices configure AI transparencies and reshape forms of expertise in sociotechnical entanglements.
